Happy #HumpDay peeps! If you caught my stories on Monday, you got to see some shelf styling from me and from my Insta-buddy Jessica.B.Simmons! I decided to change up this DIY shelf I’ve got above my bed. (You can read more about how I did it HERE!)
While I was setting them up, I went ahead and snapped a few pictures to make it into a full blog post, so check out these four different looks that could work for any shelf!
1. Simplistic

This is how my shelf’s been styled for a couple of months now. Some pretty candle sticks from Hobby Lobby and some greenery from Michael’s placed around them. Simple, but beautiful
2. A Little “Birdy”

I found these cute little birdcage domes this past weekend at Goodwill! Apparently they’re supposed to have a part that hangs in the middle to hold tealight candles, but I love them just like they are. I put them over some short pillar candles, and used that same greenery, and BOOM! A whole new look (and it only cost $3!)
3. Flowers Worth Saving

These are some Peegee Hydrangeas that I dried a year or two ago that I’ve hung on to. Aren’t they pretty?! I stuck some of the blooms in some clear glass vases I had and laid two on their side on my shelf. Using dried flowers like these is a great way to transition from summertime into fall with out all the leaves and pumpkins. The muted tones are very calming and they add so much texture… and when you are ready for pumpkins, so are they!
4. Full On Fall

And, I couldn’t resist doing a full on fall shelf. I brought out these vintage, amber Clorox bottles and some brass candlesticks (both of which I’d like to collect more of). After adding in some fall leaves, it’s ready for those crisp autumn days.
Isn’t it crazy how just a few changes can completely change the way something looks?!
At the moment this shelf is a mixture of looks one and two, but don’t worry… I’ll be bringing those dried hydrangeas back out in no time!
Hope this gives you some inspiration to switch up a space in your house, whether it’s a shelf, a corner or a little nook that’s ready for a change!
Happy decorating peeps!
