Happy Monday! I wanted to start of this week with some motivation centered around originality, because each of us is completely original. And I think that’s a beautiful thing.

It’s easy to compare our lives or the season we’re in to those around us and to do whatever we can to try to get ourselves to where it looks like they’re at… but we each have our own path, and there’s a reason that each of us face the things we do. Now, I’m not saying that we can’t get ideas from each other! We learn and grow by seeing the successes and failures of others.

What I’m saying is that if all we do is spend our lives trying to copy other people, whether it’s the things they have or the things they do, that’s not going to be much of an existence. We’re each made to be unique, to be different, to stand out, and we should celebrate that!

But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay and You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand.

– Isaiah 64:8

So this week, try not to compare the way you look or the things you have or the work you do to everyone around you because no one is you, and no one can do things like you can!
