“Would it be alright by you… if I de-green-ify you?”
Can anyone tell me where that quote is from?!
While you’re thinking about that, let me show you the new look for the cabinet I picked up at Goodwill!!!

So, let’s talk through how we got there…
It all started like this:
Very green… and while it wasn’t “bad,” it wasn’t me. But I could see what this piece could be, so I started sanding…

And it was about 90-95 degrees, but i kept sanding…

And then, I did some more sanding… until we got to this:

And it looked so good! I ended up doing a very, very light whitewash with some “Antique White” stain from Home Depot to make it a little less warm.

And once I got it moved inside, I styled it up with some of my favorite things… old shoe molds, old books and thrifted prints!

I rarely share pics of me, but after the hours of sweat I put into this piece, I felt like I should take a picture with the work I’d done.
Not to shabby for a $45-ish project (all in)! #HollaForADolla
If you can see past the here and now, and you’re willing to put in some work, there’s no telling what you can do!
… So, did you figure out where the quote was from?!
WICKED
Thought that was a pretty good reference for this piece because it definitely got de-green-ified! Maybe I should name it Elphaba… π€π
Thanks for stopping by the blog! Have a great day, peeps!
I love how this turned out! I liked the green, but after all your sanding, I am really liking the way it turned out!! Nice job!
