Appreciate the Beauty

Happy Monday peeps! We in Georgia saw the rare sight of snow this weekend, and it was so great! I love snow days… everything just looks so bright and beautiful.
But to truly experience it, I had to get out in the cold, out from under my warm, cozy blankets and into the 32-degree weather, but while I was out seeing how pretty everything I was, I didn’t notice/focus as much on the cold itself….
Application: How many times do we want to see something new/pretty/exciting, but we back out because of the discomfort we may feel? In order to truly experience life and all that it can be, sometimes we have to step out (*cue the Frozen 2 song*) “into the unknown” and break through our comfort zones. Yes, we may end get a little “cold” or “soggy,” but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed. To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake it’s necessary to stand out in the cold… and to appreciate the beauty of life it’s necessary to stand outside of your comfort zone.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frighted, and do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
– Joshua 1:9
And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.
– Isaiah 42:16

Have a wonderful week friends!
