Happy Monday peeps! It’s the last day of August, which to some means the last day of summer… which means fall is basically here!!!
It’s definitely been a crazy summer, what with quarantining, mask-wearing, working remotely, killer bees, TikTok challenges, a Twilight series “sequel,” just to name a few things. And while it has been full of adjustments and learning new ways of doing and uncertainty, we’ve made it through it and are walking into a new season with some new skills and hopefully with a strengthened/renewed sense of hope.
“(6) So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. (7) These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold – though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus is revealed to the whole world.”
– 1 Peter 1:6-7
I choose to believe that there is wonderful joy ahead. Some days are harder than others, but “the testing of our faith develops perseverance.” And we’ve made it through a summer full of testing.
I pray that this fall is a fresh season for all of us full of learning, full of better days, full of grace and full of gladness.
