Have you picked up your copy of Joanna Gaines’ new cookbook? If you haven’t, you really should! It has lots of great recipes, like this Lemon Bundt Cake.

I decided to make this for Mother’s Day this year, and it was my first time baking a cake from scratch. I was nervous I was going to mess it up, but it turned out pretty great!
The instructions were very clear, and you only need a few ingredients including:
- 3 Cups All-Purpose Flower
- 2 Cups Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
- 1/2 Tsp. Sea Salt
- 4 Eggs
- 1 Cup Buttermilk
- 2 Lemons
- 2 Sticks of Butter
- Powdered Sugar
There’s a few steps involved to get it just right, but if I can do it, anyone can! 😀

A good friend and co-worker of mine let me borrow this gorgeous bundt pan, and it made this cake SO PRETTY! I was nervous about it sticking, but I just buttered it really well and then sprayed it with Baker’s Joy cooking spray with flour. Once I had let it cool for about 45 minutes, it just slipped right on out!
So, now I can cross cooking a cake from scratch off my bucket list! 😀
And, HERE is the link to Jojo’s cookbook at Target, if you’re interested in grabbing your copy and trying out this cake!
Have a great day, friends!
