Keep Stillness Inside You
Happy Monday peeps! What a crazy week we’ve had… quarantines, sickness, social distancing, and let’s not forget the serious lack of toilet paper and hand sanitizer! But, in all seriousness, it’s been a time of chaos. Thankfully there is peace and hope we can all cling to, and that’s the focus I want to start this week with.

Stillness. Sometimes we just have to “be still and know…” Know that we are not in total control, know that things are going to happen, know that we may have fear. But also know that hope comes with the morning, that the sun will (eventually) come out tomorrow, and that our Redeemer lives.
And having this mindset is no simple task! It’s so easy to get lost in the fear and craziness that’s going on around us, but when we can dig deep and cling to what we know to be true, we can find that peace and stillness and maybe even inspire it in someone else who needs it just as much (or maybe more) than we do.
We don’t have control over what the next few months, weeks, days, even minutes will look like, but we know Who does!
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
– Philippians 4:6-7
We have so much power and peace and that we can tap into when we turn things over to the Lord, as challenging as that may sometimes be. And He’s got everything in control.
So take comfort, friends! The world may get a little crazier every day, but it can’t take the “stillness” from inside of you.
Have a great week!
