Hey peeps! Today I’m sharing how I turned my TV stand into a “potion station” for Halloween!

It all started with some clear bottles… lots and lots of clear bottles! I wanted to make it look like all kinds of “ingredients” were stored here, so I rounded up all the clear jars and vases and bottles I had and mixed them up. I also brought in a few apothecary jars (which already had those dried sunflowers from last year.

Then, I found some Halloween labels on line, printed a few and taped them to the bottles.

I left some empty and used a variety of things I had around the house to fill those others including…
- Broken up candle wax (for “Toad Tongues”)
- Dried Rose Petals
- Dried mini roses
- Plastic Eggs that I usually use for Easter
- Aloe Vera
- Water mixed with Comet (Frog’s Blood)
- Mouthwash (Snake Venom)
- Orange face wash (Zombie Brew)

Then I laid these little dried purple flowers (pictured above) around them to add to the effect. I also brought out this cast iron pot I got at Target on clearance a couple years ago because I thought it had a cauldron vibe and added some white netting to make it look like it was bubbling. And of course I added a crow to it!

Throw in some candlesticks and a “deadly” topiary, and abracadabra: you’ve got a bewitching Halloween set up! (And it didn’t cost anything! #HollaForADolla)
So, find those clear jars/vases that you’ve got laying around, get creative with what you throw in them, print some spooky labels and you’ll be set for All Hallows’ Eve!
Here’s some of the labels I used…
Have a “spooktacular” day, peeps!
