Hi there, friends! With this month marking my first “Blogiversary,” I wanted to take a quick look back some of my favorite posts from this 1st year. I’m counting down my top 5 Favorites, and highlighting my post with the most views, so let’s jump right in…
5. My Summer Living Room

I really liked this post because at the time I did it, I felt like I got my living room back to feeling more like me. I had changed some things up for spring and tried to add more color, but at the end of the day, I love whites, tans, greys, black and some greenery. This post is where I got back to that for summer time, and I just love this look for my space.
4. DIY Farmhouse/Cottage Shelf

This shelf project of mine was a favorite because it turned out just as I envisioned it. (I actually still have my instagram stories from the day I got it up in my highlights!) I had found these two little mahogany corbels at Bargain Hunt, and wanted to do a shelf with them over my headboard.
Kate (@MyLittleKateCod on Instagram) gave some inspiration for this project with the shelf that she had over her headboard. I loved the look of it in her space, and wanted to do something similar, but put my own spin on it. So, once I found those corbels, I knew where they were going to go, and it’s still up there and I still love it.
3. Holla for a Dolla

I’m not quite sure how helpful this post is, but I had fun putting it together. A lot of times, we just “do” and don’t “think,” and I challenged myself to really think through my process and what I look for when it comes to be a thrifty shopper.
I think the five tips here are a great starting point for anyone looking to update their home without breaking the bank in the process.
2. A Summer Scape for Mother’s Day

I love this post so much. This lemon theme was a ton of fun to put together, and I couldn’t be happier with the final product. For someone who typically goes for the neutral and muted colors, this was a blast using this bright yellow in so many places. Everything from the table cloth to the place settings to the “menu” was coordinated, and for planner-people like me, it made my little heart sing to have everything matching!
Mama loved it, too, which made it even better. I guess my mantra should be “when life gives you lemon, throw a party with a kick-booty tablescape!” 😀
1. Gather Around The Table

This post is most definitely my favorite from this past year. I had this vision of the table that I just redone out in the yard, with the fall colors of the changing leaves all around, pumkins and candles down the middle, and simple place settings.
I still remember how fast I was I trying to do this because it looked like it was going to rain any second! I was running back and forth bringing out dishes and glasses and then trying to get as many pictures as I could from every angle possible. And I think they turned out so well!
(I’m sitting here laughing as I type this because it did end up raining while I was still trying to put everything up, so I had to carry everything up on to our porch as fast I could and then get the table under our carport! Ahhh… good times! 😀 )
Most Popular Post: Lemon Bundt Cake from Magnolia Table Cookbook

This cake was the first I’ve ever made from scratch, but out of all the content I’ve done in the past year, this post got the most attention. Not only was this cake delicious, it was so pretty! Definitely worth it… but then again, I’m pretty sure that anything out Joanna Gaines’ cookbook would be “worth it!”

So, that’s some of my favorites. I’d love to know your thoughts on these posts, or if there’s another one outside of these you really enjoyed, let me know in the comments below!
