Do More Than Exist
Happy Monday Everyone!
Let’s start this week off with some #MondayMotivation. The quote I’ve chosen for this week is:
… and that is no easy task. With the hustle and bustle of life in 2018, it is a struggle to keep up with the basics (believe me, I know). However, we must always work to avoid complacency.
It’s easy to get in a routine and never deviate from it, but there are so many missed moments and opportunities when you develop the tunnel vision that comes with being set in your ways.
I believe it’s important for us to take the time to… well, do more, and that’s directly related to our attitude and outlook.
We each determine the extent to which we live our lives. We can choose to just go through the motions each day or we can decide to live and look for moments to make an impact on this world of ours.
We weren’t created to simply work and keep our heads down until we die. How dull and boring would that be? We were created to live and inspire and encourage. There are so many good things that God has already planned for us. Ephesians 2:4-10 says this…
(4) But God, being rich in mercy because of the great love with which He loved us, (5) even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – (6) and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (7) so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift from God, (9) not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
God tells us that he has bigger things in store for us, and that is something that we can cling to when we face trials.
Honestly, I struggle in my walk with Christ many, many times, but I find comfort and reassurance in knowing that He is there for me and that His plans are so much more perfect and complete than anything I could ever try to put together.
For me, I’m at that “What’s next?” point in life, and it feels a bit overwhelming and even scary at times. I remember how I struggled through my first semester of college because of all the changes that came in those first few months. New school, new way of learning, new job, new people… My self-esteem was so low, and I made the lowest grades of my college career in that first semester. And, now, in approximately 47 days it will all change again, and while I am very excited about that, it’s also scary because of all the “what if’s”.
Some days, I get so in my head about all of it, and I have to force myself back to the whole point of this post: Don’t just exist. God’s got big plans for you and He’s working out at this very moment!
And that goes for YOU, too! God’s got it. Whatever doubt or uncertainty you’re facing, He’s go it all under control, and He’s going to blow your mind with the outcome.
He’s already made our path… It’s just up to us to walk it.
This week, let’s make time to pray for each other that we’ll be empowered to continue down our path with boldness and to do more than just exist.
Have an AMAZING week, my friends!!!
Wise words for a Monday, and every day! Have a wonderful week 🙂
Thanks Rebecca! Hope you have a great week as well! 😊
