Hey peeps! It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of March, which is a great time to make your home a little extra “spring-y!” One of the ways I love to do that is through greenery, which can be added practically anywhere. Here’s a few spots where I’ve broke out some faux plants and branches for a springy look…

Do you have an outlet in the middle of a wall that’s not looking to cute? *BOOM* “What outlet?” A simple market basket with faux leafy branches makes for a great cover up!
I picked up this basket at Scott’s Antique Market sometime last year from a booth (la ville la mer) ran by some super sweet ladies, and the branches are from Michael’s a while back. Add a Goodwill stool with some shoe molds, a topiary (also from Michael’s) and a $2 print and you’ve got a lovely little corner styled for spring.
Small touches can go a long way, so these little faux plants and a couple of floral stems in the living room liven it up for a great spring look.

Why Go Faux?
To some, faux florals are a home decor sin… I am NOT one of those people. When you’re trying to decorate on a budget, you want the most bang for your buck. Buying faux plants or stems gives you something that can be stored and reused time and time again. Find some you love and that are of a decent quality, and you’ll have something you can work with anytime of year. (Plus, they can’t die! 😉 )

Sometimes, you don’t even need a container! On the shelf above my bed, I just clipped some pieces of a bigger stem of greenery and tucked them around the candle holders from Hobby Lobby. It gives some texture, color and life to this area in a very simple way.

So, if you’re longing for some spring-time in your home, consider adding a few touches of greenery in your spaces!
Happy Decorating!
