Midweek Motivation

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I was a slacker this week and didn’t get this post together for Monday, so I thought I’d share it for a midweek pick-me-up!

There are so many things we go through, but all of it is a part of the journey in becoming who we’re meant to be.

The definition of “endurance” according to Webster is:

the ability to withstand hardship or adversity; especially the ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity

You don’t develop endurance without going through rough patches. Sometimes we may feel we’re nearing our end, but it’s in those moments that it’s most important for us to keep going.

And, once we make it through, we have a greater ability to empower and encourage those who may be struggling around us.

The bible talks about endurance in James Chapter 1:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

I actually used these same verses in my speech when I graduated high school, and it’s a passage that I keep coming back to. God says that we should rejoice in our trials because of the perseverance (endurance) we come away with due to those situations.

All this is to say that if you are going through time where you’re building endurance, know that you’ll walk away with stronger faith and the ability to empower those around you through your story.

You can do it, and you will!

So keep on keepin’ on, my friends, and have a great rest of your week!
