You Never Fail

Happy Monday! I want to take a second to share some encouragement today regarding failure.

That word alone makes all of us cringe. It’s the total opposite of what we want and how we want to be viewed, yet we often face that term more than we do it’s opposite, success. In the news/media, in the workplace, in the schools, in the everyday conversations, failure is often at the forefront rather than success.

I think it’s time we change that, and start focusing more on success! Part of the reason our world is in the shape it’s in is because people (including me) too often dwell on the negatives when we should be using our voice to build each other up.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-18 says this:

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

We are called to encourage, help and be patient, three things that at times seem like impossible tasks, but through God, we can do it and change the world in doing so.

So, if you’ve found yourself in a rough patch lately, don’t give up. You are NOT A FAILURE until you stop trying. Although the days seem longer and longer, know that your life has a purpose and that you have the power to change our world through your actions and mentality.

Keep fighting the good fight, friends. And, let’s all look for the moments where we can spread encouragement.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you…”

Have a great week, friends!
